What is Cosmetic teeth straightening?

Orthodontic treatment which can be provided by a General Dentist who have completed a short course for a specific ortho treatment. This treatment is provided to straighten usually only the anterior teeth whilst accepting the existing bite. It is suitable for straightforward problems needing only simple, quick tooth alignment and is sometimes used prior to provision of veneers, crowns or fillings. Not available on the NHS e.g. 6 Month Smiles, Inman Aligner. Treatment time is approximately 6-10 months.
