A Lampeter dentist is urging residents to register for NHS dental treatment after it experienced an increase in new patients who hadn’t seen a dentist for ten years or more.
mydentist at 2 Market Place, part of the largest provider of dental care in the UK, is a modern practice with a welcoming feel designed with patient comfort in mind.
Practice manager Cindy Edwards said: “We are still getting patients who haven’t seen a dentist for over 10 years and we have NHS places available so there is no reason for people in the town not to register and receive regular treatment.
“Our practice is professional and friendly, our waiting room is decorated in warm greys and teal greens and is scented with jasmine to put people at ease when they visit us.”
Research from the British Dental Health Foundation found that people who visit the dentist annually reduce their risk of tooth decay by 60 per cent. It also revealed that 31 per cent of adults have tooth decay and 29 per cent suffer from regular dental pain.
The practice provides NHS and private dentistry including teeth whitening and dentures by Denture Excellence. It is open five days a week Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 5.00 and from 9.00 to 2.00 at least one Saturday a month.
Patients should call 01570 423630 to make an appointment.
