A Morley dentist is urging residents to register for NHS dental treatment after it was revealed that 27% of the UK population admit to only visiting their dentist when they have an urgent problem or are in pain.
mydentist in Morley, part of the largest provider of dental care in the UK, has two modern practices in the centre of town with a welcoming feel designed with patient comfort in mind.
Sarah Stephenson practice manager at mydentist in Morley said: “We are getting patients who haven’t seen a dentist for over 10 years and we have NHS places available so there is no reason for people in the town not to register and receive regular treatment.
“Our practices are professional and friendly, our waiting rooms are decorated in warm greys and teal greens and scented with jasmine to put people at ease when they visit us.”
Research from the British Dental Health Foundation found that people who visit the dentist annually reduce their risk of tooth decay by 60 per cent. It also revealed that 31 per cent of adults have tooth decay and 29 per cent suffer from regular dental pain.
The practices provide NHS and private dentistry including teeth whitening and dentures by Denture Excellence. They are open five days a week from Monday to Friday.
