Sameh Ahmed GDP Private

Sameh trained in Oral Surgery and Implantology, placing his first implant in 2005. In the same year, Sameh passed his exams and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He went on to be awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Oral Surgery in 2007. During his training, Sameh gained extensive experience in difficult areas of oral surgery, including building deficient bone, gums and sinus grafting as well as the use of particulate biomaterials. In 2009, he moved to the UK and trained for 5 years in several top maxillofacial surgery units adding further to his surgical skills and experience. In 2016, Sameh successfully completed a Masters Degree in Implantology from the University of Manchester. Following this, he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. Sameh’s special interest remains in implantology. However, he also treats cosmetic cases and complete mouth rehabilitations. Sameh works as a peripatetic surgeon across practices in Cheshire. He receives referrals from different practices and enjoys undertaking both simple and complex restorative cases, as well as implant cases ranging from replacing 1 missing tooth to a full arch reconstruction.

Ardeshir Khalilazar GDP

Ardy graduated with DDS degree (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Tabriz University in Iran in 1999. His interest in complicated restorative dentistry led him to pursue further training and obtain his Masters degree in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from Tehran University in 2003. After completion of his training, he started his academic career as an Associate Professor in Dental Faculty of Zahedan and became the head of the Restorative Dentistry department. In 2009, Ardy moved to the UK with his family and has been a part of {my}dentist family in Poynton since 2011. Ardy pursued his interest in academic area in the UK too working in Manchester Dental Hospital as a part time Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF), between 2018 and 2024. He gave this up to go back to university to study for his Masters in Prosthodontics. Ardy offers a wide range of NHS and private dental treatments. He has a passion for aesthetic dentistry including Veneers, Smilefast, Invisalign, Enlighten whitening and he is determined to offer the best level of care. Outside work, Ardy enjoys doing outdoor activities and spending time with his family and their little dog.

Karina Lewis GDP

Karina earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King’s College London in 2005, Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008 and diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies from the University of Bristol in 2015. Karina combines this extensive education with hands-on experience to provide exceptional dental care. Karina served for a decade in the RAF, where she became Squadron Leader and Senior Dental Officer. She commanded the largest dental centre in the RAF, gaining invaluable experience of providing high level dental care in difficult environments, including the Falkland Islands and Afghanistan. This unique career path has enriched Karina’s practice, and her patients are always sure to receive exceptional and efficient care. At {my}dentist Poynton, Karina strives to erase pain and fear, helping her patients achieve the results they deserve in a welcoming and comfortable environment. She is passionate about helping develop patients’ confidence. She is particularly interested in straightening and brightening smiles, through the use of clear aligners and teeth whitening. Outside of work, Karina enjoys learning to play the piano, scuba diving and genealogy. Most of all though, she cherishes time spent with her husband and daughter.

Maariya Bani GDP

Maariya graduated from University of Manchester with her BDS in 2022. Since then, she has realised her enthusiasm for cosmetic dentistry, such as short term orthodontics (teeth straightening with clear aligners) and whitening cases. She has also shown great knowledge and passion for composite bonding - giving many patients beautiful smiles, which look natural and even. Maariya also relishes the day-to-day dentistry, as a chance to connect with people. She is great with nervous patients, quickly putting them at ease. However, she has a special interest in paediatric dentistry. She works well with children and her calm manner and friendly attitude makes her great with young patients who may not be as used to visiting the dentist. Outside of her work, Maariya can be found spending quality time with her friends and family, whether this be on a long walk, travelling the world or just grabbing a matcha. She also loves animals, especially cats!

Mohmed Al-Hamadani GDP

Mo graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1998 with a degree in dentistry. He went on to obtain the Licence in Dental Surgery (LDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2017, followed by the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
He has developed a strong clinical focus in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He has extensive experience in delivering ClearCorrect teeth straightening treatments, as well as performing crown and bridge work, edge bonding, composite bonding, and teeth whitening. His approach combines technical precision with a patient-centered philosophy, aiming to achieve both functional and aesthetic excellence.
Mo shares his depth of knowledge by leading LDS courses to help other clinicians receive their qualification to be able to practice in the UK. He is currently expanding his own knowledge even further by training in implantology!
Outside of work, Mo enjoys travelling, exercising and spending time with family!

Roopa Shrishyladharamurhty GDP

Roopa completed her Bachelors in Dental Surgery in India before relocating to the UK with her husband in 2018. She then completed her LDS to continue her dentistry in the UK.
There are many facets of dentistry which Roopa enjoys, such as getting to know patients and helping them to overcome their fears and anxieties by using a comfortable and compassionate approach in her role.
Roopa is currently working towards completing her Masters in Endodontics. She previously completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, which fuelled her knowledge and expertise in completing Invisalign, composite bonding, crowns, veneers, bridges, whitening and more.
In her free time outside of dentistry, Roopa loves travelling with family and friends and playing tennis, badminton, cricket, football and squash. She believes dancing has the great power to completely transform lives, as well as keeping people fit and so she is involved with a Bollywood Dance group in Manchester.

Lisa Fahy Hygienist

Lisa qualified as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist from Salford DCP School in 2013 and started working for mydentist in October 2018. Lisa was a dental nurse for six years prior to qualifying as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist and has a wide range of experience treating patients in both a private and NHS setting and prides herself on being a calm and understanding clinician. Lisa finds the most rewarding part of her job to be when patients make an overall improvement to their oral hygiene and respond well to treatment and advice given. She enjoys treating anxious patients to help build on their confidence within the dental environment. Lisa keeps up to date by regularly attending dental conferences to provide the best treatment for her patients. Outside of work Lisa keeps herself busy by looking after her two boys as well as spending time with family and friends.

Priyanka Gupta Hygienist

Priyanka qualified with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery from India (2006–2011), then moved to the UK in 2012 to pursue her Masters in Dental Technology from Queen Mary University, London, which she completed with Merit in 2013. Since 2019, she has been working as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist under the Dentists Act.
Priyanka loves all things dentistry, especially working with nervous patients and helping them feel comfortable in the chair. She holds a special interest in managing gum health – with a focus on working with more patients who have complexed periodontal cases. She has recently expanded into dental hypnotherapy. She is a qualified solution-focused hypnotherapist and psychotherapist (CPHT Manchester, 2023), and works with patients on hypnotherapy for dental phobia, smoking cessation, gag reflex issues, and more.
Outside of work, Priyanka loves travelling the world, playing chess, dabbling in crypto, doing hot yoga, and occasionally partying with paper (a.k.a. journaling )

Roxanne Parkes OConnell Hygienist

Roxanne received her Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Leeds in 2008. Since then, she has gone on to gain a massive wealth of experience in the field and applies her depth of knowledge, when working with her patients.
Roxanne’s dedication to her patients and their oral health, means they receive a high level of treatment every time they visit her. She is a valued member of the team who works efficiently and conscientiously, providing her patients with advice on how to maintain their oral health to the utmost standard. Her kind and welcoming nature ensures they feel comfortable in surgery and also means she works well with nervous patients or those who are visiting the hygienist for the first time.
Outside of work, Roxanne loves holidaying all over the world, from caravanning in Wales to spending time in Ibiza! Most of all she cherishes time spent with her son!
