After the HUGE success of Stand Up 2 Cancer back in October last year, we’ve agreed to support Cancer Research UK with their next big fundraising event - World Cancer Day.
On this day, CRUK want to unite and galvanise the nation to recognise the impact of cancer and show that together we can beat cancer sooner - something we couldn’t be more thrilled to support!
We’ve asked our fab teams across our 700 practices to unite and show the same incredible support they showed during Stand Up 2 Cancer - £31,300 worth of support to be precise!
World Cancer Day is officially on Saturday 4th February, however we will be marking the day on Friday 3rd Feb so all our practices and Manchester support centre can get involved. But, we won’t just be fundraising on the 3rd, we’ll be supporting the cause throughout the whole of February!
Why not visit your nearest practice on Friday 3rd to see what exciting fundraising activities they’re holding, and don’t forget you can get your unity band from any of our mydentist practices throughout February.
THE UNITY BAND®:
Funds raised will help accelerate progress in the fight against cancer. The Unity Band® represents strength in unity and is the icon of World Cancer Day – a simple way to play your part in one incredible #ActOfUnity.
We’re really looking forward to the potential money we can raise after the last successful Cancer Research UK campaign … even the mydentist board of directors are supporting the cause and proudly wearing their unity bands!

Terry Scicluna, our CEO says: "As we prepare for our next charity campaign - World Cancer Day, I would like to take the chance to thank everyone in the business for fundraising this year. So far we have raised over £60,000 for Cancer Research UK and their ground-breaking research! I am thrilled that we’ll all be taking part in fundraising together throughout February for World Cancer Day, so that we can help beat cancer sooner.”
