There are a variety of orthodontic treatments available at our practices based on a patient’s clinical requirements, these include but are not limited to;
Metal fixed braces
Metal fixed appliances consist of small metal brackets attached to the teeth with a wire tied into the brackets. The wires are then used to move the teeth into the desired position giving the orthodontist control over the tooth movements. The ties can be coloured giving you the option to customise the brace.
Ceramic fixed braces
Ceramic fixed braces are more discreet than metal braces and consist of small tooth coloured brackets attached to the teeth with a wire tied into the brackets. The wires are then used to move the teeth into the desired position giving the orthodontist control over the tooth movements.
Clear aligners
Clear aligners offer a virtually invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of clear, customised removable aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. Advanced technology allows you to visualise your completed treatment. This is a great option for those wanting a more discreet, wire free treatment.
Lingual braces
Lingual fixed braces are attached to the back of the teeth making them virtually unnoticeable. The small metal brackets are attached to the teeth with a wire tied into the brackets. The wires are then used to move the teeth into the desired position giving the orthodontist complete control over the tooth movements.
Retainers
Once the active period is completed, your braces are removed. The next step is called retention. Retainers are utilised to hold your teeth in their new position until your bone, gums, and muscles adapt to the new teeth positions. You must wear your retainer as instructed, otherwise your teeth may move toward their original positions and the benefit of wearing your braces will be lost.
Iconix braces
Iconix braces are a sophisticated and elegant alternative to traditional braces. These braces are made of stainless-steel champagne-coloured brackets that provide aesthetics of rose gold attached to the teeth with a wire tied into the brackets. The wires are then used to move the teeth into the desired position giving the orthodontist control over the tooth movements.
