Felora qualified as a Dental Surgeon in 1998 at the prestigious Shahid Behstri University of Iran. She joined the {my}dentist team at Effingham Square in March 2019 and has already become a very invaluable member. She excels in delivering excellent patient care and always puts her patients first. Felora is very dedicated to her work and has enhanced her skills by completing a PhD in Periodontology- Periodontal Bone Regeneration, MFDS (The Diploma of Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery) of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and also a post graduate diploma in restorative dentistry at Birmingham University.

Rizwana Shaikh qualified from Liverpool University in 2013. Riz (as she likes to be called) was brought up in Sheffield where her father was a GP. Riz joined {my}dentist in 2017. Riz brings fresh new ideas and has been known to work with our more anxious patients. She enjoys taking her time and thoroughly explaining the options with her patients and taking every step at the patient’s pace. Rizwana is enthusiastic about learning new skills and furthering her expertise and education in general dentistry. Riz is also a mentor at the practice. Her interest in aesthetics further developed recently when she trained in facial aesthetics at The London School of Facial Aesthetics. She is now able to offer a wide variety of facial aesthetic procedures including anti-ageing treatments.

Safa joined us in September 2022 on completion of her 5 years at Sheffield University where a very high standard of dentistry is taught and practised, and has brought the techniques and ethics she learnt there to Effingham Square. Since qualifying she has continued her post-graduate education with us and has studied all aspects of dental procedures. Amongst treating her registered patients Safa is one of our emergency dentists and helps patients with their immediate pain. She is a very calm and caring person and this reflects when treating her patients as she takes pride in delivering the best of care for patients and can put even the most nervous patients at ease.

Dr. Shawn Faizi is a dedicated dentist from Toronto, with a strong passion for both oral and mental well-being. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in Madrid in 2024, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 2019.His background in psychology allows him to approach dentistry with empathy, and a deep understanding of patient care, particularly for those with dental anxiety.Dr. Faizi has a keen interest in endodontics and prosthodontics, focusing on restoring both function and aesthetics to improve his patients' quality of life. He is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry, and takes a patient-centered approach, ensuring each individual feels comfortable and informed about their treatment.Passionate about building strong patient relationships, Dr. Faizi believes in the connection between oral health and overall well-being. He is eager to work with patients, helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles through compassionate and high-quality dental care.

Vincent qualified as a dental hygienist therapist in 2020 from the University of Leeds and has been working at {my}dentist since. He is very passionate about providing one-to-one advice on prevention and improving oral health. Treatments carried out include scale and polishes and in-depth gum disease treatment to help prevent tooth loss, he also carries out Dental Therapy on a referral from the clinicians in practice. He is also happy to see patients who would like that one-off clean to maintain their oral hygiene in-between their normal dental examinations. Outside of work, Vincent enjoys spending time with his wife and children, travelling.
