Hira graduated from University of Glasgow with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Commendation in 2019. She also has gained a further postgraduate qualification for a Diploma of Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. Hira is committed to providing high quality NHS and private dental care to all of her patients. Her empathetic nature makes her approachable and she aims to make her patients as comfortable and relaxed as possible. In addition, she offers SmileFast composite bonding, to help improve the aesthetics of front teeth. As well as this, she also provides ClearCorrect which is an aligner system to straighten teeth as an alternative to fixed braces.

Maureen Henderson graduated from Glasgow University in 1993.She completed a years vocational training before taking up a position as an associate dentist in west Lothian in 1994 where she remained for 8 years.Maureen moved to Uddingston in March 2004 where she has been practicing general dentistry ever since.Providing both nhs and private options,Maureen strives to provide a caring and professional service to patients and always tries to make herself available and approachable to patients who need her help. She continues to keep up to date with her CPD requirements including involvement in audit activity and has recently enrolled to participate in a clinical trial run by Dundee University. Maureen has done further training to enable her to offer clear correct. Clear correct is a clear aligner system used to straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional braces.

Sophie Smith GDP

Sophie qualified from Dundee Dental Hospital & School in 2023, moved back to Glasgow and completed a year’s Vocational Training under the guidance of Maureen Henderson in our practice. She is now working as an Associate dentist with us, providing a mix of both NHS and Private dentistry. She has a passion for providing an excellent quality of care for her patients, aiming to meet their oral health needs as well as increase their confidence. She has a particular interest in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. As well as NHS treatments, she offers private treatments such as white fillings and crowns on back teeth, tooth whitening, and private dentures. She keeps up to date with all Continuing Professional Development requirements and is always looking to adapt to new changes and guidelines within the dental world.

Robyn Edwards Hygienist

Robyn qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University as a dental hygienist/therapist in 2014 and joined the team at {my}dentist Uddingston shortly after.She has a passion for oral health and enjoys educating patients on the best way in which they can look after their teeth and gums. Her main role is treating patients with gum disease, ranging from minor to more advanced conditions.Robyn performs the most up-to-date treatment techniques in order to treat and maintain healthy gums. She regularly attends post graduate courses to allow her to expand her knowledge and keep up to date with the latest developments in the treatment of gum disease.

Saffa combines a strong academic foundation with a genuine commitment to patient care. She takes pride in providing comprehensive oral hygiene advice and treatments, empowering her patients to maintain healthy, confident smiles. Alongside this, she is continuously developing her knowledge with courses and is skilled in teeth whitening and airflow polishing. Saffa ensures that she provides each patient with tailored oral hygiene instructions, always making sure that each patient is delighted with every treatment that she carries out.
