Fixed Bridge

A dental bridge is a type of dental prosthesis which literally bridges the gap between two teeth. If you have lost one or two teeth to decay or because of an accident, a bridge can make your smile complete again. The prosthesis used for a fixed bridge consists of a crown on either side and one or two pontics (artificial teeth) in the middle. The crowns are hollow and fit over the neighbouring teeth to secure the bridge in place.

6 porcelain Veneers and Zoom Whitening

This patient came to see us unhappy with the appearance of their smile. 6 porcelain veneers and whitening were used to give this patient a confident smile to be proud of. Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain or reinforced resin. Similar to a false nail, a veneer is a protective shell that covers the front of your tooth to reshape it or improve its colour. And give you back a beautiful smile!

Anterior Crowns

A crown is sometimes referred to as a cap, which is a great description - it simply fits on top of an existing tooth. It can restore the shape, colour and function of your original tooth. Dr Sugar prepared these teeth to the ideal shape for the crowns. This involved removing a layer of the outer surface, leaving a strong inner core. The amount of the tooth removed is the same as the thickness of the crown. Once the tooth was shaped, Dr Sugar took an impression (mould) of the prepared tooth, one of the opposite jaw and another to show the way the teeth bite together. The impressions were then sent to a dental technician, along with information about the shade to use and any other information they needed. 10 days to 2 weeks later the crowns were ready to be fitted and give back this glorious smile.

Same day smile

Lilly came to see us unhappy with the appearance of her smile and concerned with oral health issues. Here we did a same day smile transformation and replacement of missing and failing upper teeth, using four dental implants and a screw retained acrylic bridge. Lilly left the practice the same day with a smile to be proud of. And we couldn't be happier.

I had problems with gum disease which caused some of my teeth to become loose so when a family member recommended Dr Dimitrios at my dentist Barnsley I didn’t hesitate to make an appointment. In march 2018 i had my first consultation with Dimitrios who was very knowledgeable, friendly and put me immediately at ease. Dimitrios discussed all options available to me in great detail with no pressure. My decision was to have implants so in April 2018 my implants and temporary bridge were fitted pain free and all in a day giving me a perfect smile. Adult Orthodontics

This patient came to mydentist concerned about their crooked and misaligned teeth. Dr Joe Norris used an orthodontic system called Six month smile which uses clear, discreet braces and tooth coloured wires to correct the alignment of the teeth. The biggest advantage of Six Month Smile is that treatment takes usually between six to nine months to complete (in this case seven months) Six Month Smiles has clear brackets and tooth-coloured wires, which blend inconspicuously with your teeth. Clear braces are a popular choice among our patients and they can be used for both short-term and comprehensive orthodontic treatment. The treatment was then finished off with whitening and minor white bonding to create a beautifully aesthetic smile.

Mr Sherwood's new smile

Mr Sherwood came to see our treatment coordinator at mydentist, Peel Street, unhappy with the appearance and colour of his front teeth. After a lengthy discussion about what Mr Sherwood was looking to achieve, a clinical consultation was booked with Dr Norris who used an initial wax up of the teeth to get things just perfect for Mr Sherwood, and together decided to go for crowns. Short Term Orthodontics

Joshua came to see us unhappy with the aesthetics of his smile. Kellys new smile

Kelly had veneers placed at a young age to correct a smile she wasn't happy with. After a long search to find a dentist she trusted and felt comfortable with, she decided it was time to restore her smile with a dentist recommended to her by a friend. Samuel's New Smile

Samuel underwent a combination of crown and bridgework to achieve his dream smile! Once the teeth are prepared for the crowns and bridges, Impressions are then taken using either conventional impression materials or with a digital intra-oral scanner to create a 3D scanned model of the prepared teeth. In as little as 1 week, the new restorations are ready to be fitted!

I have recently under gone private cosmetic dentistry work with mydentist. The start to end journey has been great. I feel that the advice and options I were given were totally tailored to my own needs. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. My dentist took a genuine interest in what I was wanting and the reasons why. I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed the end result has been amazing! Abigails New Smile

Abigail came into our practice wanting her lower teeth straightening, but didn't want metal braces. As a singer, Abigail was concerned that they would be too visible and wanted something discrete. Abigail chose to be treated with only lower fixed ceramic braces. The treatment process was very smooth and only took 8 months to complete. Fantastic results for a very happy and confident new smile to rock on stage!

I felt that my teeth before my treatment were fine at at the top, however at the bottom front were uneven which I used to notice when having photographs smiling and on my singing videos. My treatment is now complete and the difference is very noticeable. I get compliments about my teeth very often! I have been well looked after and guided throughout my treatment at Mydentist. Joannes New Smile

Roses New Smile

Rose came to see us unhappy with the appearance of her smile. Suffering from Sjogren’s syndrome for several years meant Rose had a severely dry mouth and as a result had lost several teeth and several more were decayed. Dental implants were used to replace Rose's missing teeth and custom-made crown were used to extinguish the decay and protect Rose's remaining teeth. As well as a beautiful aesthetic result, ease of care and maintenance were the prime factors to restoring Rose's new smile.

Dimitrios explained what could be done to make my life and care of my teeth much easier. He was very understanding and proffessional. Sheila's new smile

Smile In A Day

Angela came to see us as she has lost her confidence over the years due to gum disease which had created a noticeable gum recession. She wanted to rebuild her confidence with a new smile and received a result she never thought would be possible in just a few short hours. Cosmetic Crowns and Bridgework

This lady came to us as she wanted to replace her old, uneven crowns. She was unhappy with the shape, size, and colour of her crowns and also the denture that she had. After an appointment with her Dentist Muneera to discuss her options, we replaced her old crowns and made a bridge to replace her old denture.

I am extremely pleased with the treatment I have received. My teeth were very uneven in shape, size and colour before. Now they are even in all aspects and look very natural. My treatment was handled with care and I felt in safe, good hands throughout.
