Sadly, almost a third of UK children develop tooth decay. But, the good news is it’s entirely preventable. Regular visits to the dentist along with a good diet and brushing technique help children avoid problems with their teeth and gums.

Mydentist is so honoured to be gold unity partners with clinical charity, Bridge 2 Aid, and we recently received an update on our annual donation – which goes towards training clinical officers in Tanzania so they can provide emergency dental care.

Peter, who grew up in Northern Ireland, qualified as a dentist at the University of Glasgow in 2002. He undertook his specialist orthodontic training at Leeds Dental Institute and York Hospital.

We raise lots of money around the business through fundraising events, and last year we introduced a brand new initiative called Star Refining, whereby our practice teams offer patients the chance to donate their unwanted metals such as crowns and bridges,. These are then melted down and cashed in – with ALL of the profits going to Children with Cancer UK.
